Happy Easter and Spring Break

Have a wonderful spring break with your families!  Remember there is NO school this Friday or on Monday April 2nd.  Students return on Tuesday April 3rd.

Today we;

-worked on problem solving in both the morning and afternoon

-wrote about our families Easter traditions

-made chocolate birds nests (they came home for students to eat at home)

-made a beautiful art piece of spring chicks

I am away tomorrow and April 3rd.  The substitute will be Mrs.Prang on both days.  

Question of the day:

What does Billy do to make eating the worms easier? Do you think we will be able to eat all 15 worms?  Why do you think that?

   

Monday March 19th

Happy Monday!

Today we;
-went to the assembly (congratulations Jun on your nomination)
-completed an I see, I think, I wonder about some dead grass
-watched a 1 minute video about what was UNDER the dead grass
-began a new novel called "How to Eat Fried Worms"
-made a prediction about what the book would be about in our visual journals
 -completed a problem on the day in Math
-went to Music
-worked on good and bad smells in Science
-went to gym and practiced our dance
-began making our paper Easter Egg baskets
-we told what we needed for a costume for the spring musical (it's written on some of the agendas).  Many of the costumes will be proved but not all are.

Question of the day-

Have a conversation about the dead grass. What was under it?  What should you do if you see this in your yard?  What did you think it was at first?
