Happy Halloween!

I'll keep this short!  Happy Halloween and thank you to every single one of you for remembering your pumpkins, snacks, costumes and all of your support.  Our class had a great day filled with Halloween celebrations beginning with grade 4/5 buddy time first thing this morning.  We did complete a pre-spelling test to assess what our knowledge of high frequency words from the Dolch word list.  This test is not used towards report card marks but is used to help drive instruction.

Enjoy the pictures!

Question from Wednesday, November 1st.

New Home Reading Levels-
Our home reading books are in the process of being switched from numbers to letters.  The letters used coordinate with the assessment tool we use "Fountas and Pinnel".  I stapled a correlation sheet in each child's agenda highlighting which level they are currently at for home reading.

Question of the day:

What "thing" did you sketch at Lucas's house?
