Math Links

Wacky Wednesday!  Today was a bit wacky because we began the day with Science instead of guided reading and partner/silent reading.

We also;
-learned about synonyms and wrote our own
-made a toombstone for a word and then are going to try to use synonyms to replace that word
-counted by 5s and backwards from 100
-learned about colors, how a rainbow is made and about colorless things such as water
-did a problem of the day
-went to Music
-played badminton in Gym

Below are a bunch of links that I use for Math, please feel free to use them at home (the kids can do them on their own).

Question of the day-

What is attacking the peach in James and the Giant Peach?  What is James's plan to escape?  Can you remember what ROYGBIV means?

  1. Sharks swimming around the water and the worm said there were five hundreds even millions of sharks attacking the peach!
    James' plan to escape is to have the earthworm right beside him and make the spider create a long string of spider webs and catch six hundred seagulls from the air looking at the worm to try to eat him but James will protect him with the thin string of spiderwebs and catch all of the six hundred seagulls.
    I have a very good memory, but I have to for this question say a huge NO! Sorry, I don't remember what that means.
