Terry Fox
Today during Math we subitized. This is when students get to see a matrix of circles or triangles for a split second 3 separate times. The students have to make a picture in their head and then add it up. Subitizing works to support very quick addition and recognizing groups of numbers without having to count or add. I have put 2 samples below.
In the morning we learned all about Terry Fox. Students wrote about why and how he tried to help fellow Canadians.
Sneaky Blog Question of the day: What are 1 or 2 things that you can remember about Terry Fox?
