Craison Experiment- Please comment

This morning in Science we experimented with soda water and craisons.  We talked about making predictions and that it is ok to make mistakes.  A few of us didn't want to make a prediction because we didn't want to be wrong.  This lead into a discussion of school being a safe place to make mistakes and learn from them.  After all that's why we're all here...to learn!   We then followed up by reading "It's Okay to Make Mistakes".  Tomorrow we will read "How Full Is Your Bucket".  Thank you Miss.B for finding the books in the Learning Commons to read to us!

Miss.B will officially be done her student teaching practicum this Friday.  We wish her the best of luck in her teaching career.  We are hopeful that she will join us on our Children's Festival field trip on Wed. May 24th.

Boys and Girls please comment below on what YOU saw happen with your craisons.

  1. I saw my craisins zip up and down because the bubbles in the soda water kept popping so the craisins went down and picket up the craisins so they went up. It was funny to see the craisins zip up and down. I liked the experiment.-Brett

  2. The crasins bounced around due to the soda water because the soda water has carbon dioxide in so the air in the soda water made the crasins bounce around actively.-David

  4. The craisins were dancing up and down. Then we could drink the water with the craisins. I like it a lot.

  5. My craisins went up and down because the soda water has lots of bubbles in it. The bubbles move fast and force the craisins to move up and down with them.
