CONGRATULATIONS room 5! Our class came in first place for Math BINGO. I think it helped a lot that our class was used to doing "problem of the day" type questions. The whole school celebrated with some delicious pizza.
Today we learned how to use a new application on the computers. We began using iWeb as a way to organize our understanding of insects. iWeb is a Mac program that's very easy to use. Students learned how to locate pictures, add text boxes, change font size and color and then add their own information.
In Math we focussed on reviewing counting by 5s and 10s starting at a random number. For example if we count by 10s but start at 13 you would then count on to 23, 33, 43, 53, 63, 73, 83, 93, 103, 113. Many of us had forgotten how to do this.
In Science we drew and labeled a diagram and of what a butterfly would need to be comfortable.
