Welcome back from your spring breaks! I've heard many funny stories about; trips to Jamaica, seeing teachers at Injunation, a bird pooping on a Dad's sunglasses, cactus getting stuck in feet, students running into other students and teachers at the airport, students driving boats and golf carts, Easter Egg hunts in Whitefish, watching my brother play hockey and making a new friend named "Parker", shooting at a gun range, getting swooped by birds, riding a camel, falling face first into a cupcake and many other.
Today we;
-had 1guided reading group share their book with the class
-shared our "Happiness Is" pages
-began writing about our spring breaks
-made practice tree cookies and then painted our real tree cookies for the court yard project with the artist (Mrs.Elleson).
-completed a problem of the day in Math
-went to Music
-played lacross
-talked about ways to keep our eyes safe in Science
Question of the day: What can you learn about a tree from it's rings?
The ring's on a tree can learn you about who old they are.When there are 44 ring's the tree is 44 year's old.Angelo
ReplyDeleteIf it has 7 rings, it’s 7 years old. If it has 20 rings, it is 20 years old. A tree’s number of rings tells us how old the tree is. If it doesn’t get water or soil, the rings are really close together, and it is bad for the tree.

Lacrosse looks fun! From the rings in a tree, is if there are 10 rings the tree is 10 years old.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell how old trees are because of their rings. You can also tell how much nutrients they were getting by the rings and if there was a forest fire or other devastation that year. Parker
