Math and Snowshoeing

We are continuing our journey is number sense.  Below is a new link for subitizing.  I've also included some pictures of both grades for math.  The grade 1s are working on counting on from a given number and breaking a given number into 2 groups.  The grade 2s are working on reading and writing number number ordinals and figuring out what numbers come after, before and between a given number.

Secret Blog Question:

What was one of George Washington's Characteristics?

Snowshoeing was a lot of fun once we got going! Putting snowshoes on is a new skill for most of us. I tried to stress the importance of not getting stressed.  We are working on our independence and persistence, this means trying to put on your snowshoes before asking for help and trying more than once.

  2. George Washington was very honest and took responsibility for what he did that was bad. He admitted that he hurt the horse because his mom was going to punish the stable man harshly.
