Today we continued our work with the Paper Bag Princess. Our focus has been identifying the main characters, setting, problem and solution. Tomorrow will be will be writing facts about groundhogs (in preparation for Groundhogs Day).
We have been beginning our days with a "Problem of the Day". These are Math problems that incorporate both addition and subtraction. The grade 2s have a 2nd step to bring the problems up to a grade 2/3 level....some of the grade 1s complete these too!
In Art we completed our "hot" and "cold" pictures, they all look great!

What happens when the groundhog sees it's shadow?
when Fill sees his shadow that means there are still 6 more weeks of winter left and he will go back into his den. -Brett
ReplyDeleteWhen fill comes out of his hole if he sees his shadow it means that there are 6 more weeks of winter. But if he doesn't see his shadow it means it is spring.Parker
