Dare to Care and What's Does My Name Mean?

This morning we had Lisa from Dare to Care talk to the whole school about bullying.  She was able to high light a few key points for us.

1) Bullying is repetitive in nature and in considered bullying if it prolongs for longer than 1 week.
2) Bullies get pleasure out of the reaction they get from others.
3) Children who feel they are being bullied need to use a calm firm voice and say "stop" to the person bullying.
4) Children who are being bullied need to ask and adult for help using a calm voice (so it doesn't sound like tattling)
5)We need to be like giraffes and seek help when we see bullying behavior.  We can't be like turtles and burry their heads.

The parent session for Dare to Care is this Thursday evening at 6:30pm.  All parents are greatly encouraged to come.

In Social Studies we talked about our names and where they may have come from.  Each student has a piece of paper in their agenda with 2 questions for you to answer tonight.

Below are some examples of todays Math.

In gym we completed a Ninja Warrior course!
