Jan. 17th, 2018

Today in class;
 -we spent a lot of the morning catching up and completing our December page and Social Studies tri-fold house.
-worked on skits for Monday's assembly (our class is in charge)
-went to Music
-some boys had boys choir during lunch hour
-learned about Pier 21.  One of our students was reading a book about it and we took a lot of time to discuss what Pier 21 is and the significance of it.  This connects to Social Studies and understanding Canada's past.
-in Math we learned the word "referent" (some us of already knew what it meant)
-we solved a problem using "15" as a referent

Thank you to those parents planning on coming in at 12:30pm tomorrow to help us with our building.

Question of the day:
-Can you tell your parents or an adult about Pier 21?  Does your family have a personal connection to it?  Can you remember what Mrs.Helsen's connection is? (you don't need to blog about my family).

Have a great night!

  1. My dad says that my great grandfather fought in the British Air Force in world war two. My mom does not believe that, then again my dad told me that he played for the Boston Bruins.-Parker
