Some quick updates-
-practice lockdown tomorrow afternoon (kids don't know about it yet)
-please take in-door shoes home next Wed. Some shoes are getting really small and others really stinky (maybe just give them a quick wash....please)

-no school next Thursday or Friday due to teachers convention. The following Monday is Family Day (also no school)
Today in Math we worked on another problem using the number line as our strategy. I will also include a link for a subitizing activity. Our class did this activity today and really enjoyed it (see video of our class).

Question of the day. Tell me something about heat stroke.
If you have heat stroke you will stop sweating because you don't have enough liquid to sweat. -David

You can die from heat stroke and you will stop sweating. You need to cool down slowly and not jump into cold water right away or you will damage your body.

Heatstroke makes your body sweat and it makes you want to throw up. When you have it you should go in a very cold shower or a very cold bath. That will cool your body down. Oh! and heatstroke makes you breathe very slow and deep. You have to throw off your clothes even if its in a hotel.
