Insects, Soccer, Early Settlers

Happy Tuesday!

Reminders;
-Volunteer Tea Thursday morning at 8:45am
-Field trip to Calgary International Children's Festival next Wed. May 24th (rain date is for Thursday 25th)
-No school this Friday or next Monday
-Running club Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch


Today we;

-talked about the early settlers in each of the three Canadian Communities we continue to learn about.  We discussed approximately when the communities were settled and who helped to settle them.

- had a practice with the pianist during Music to get ready for the Volunteer Tea.

-finally got to use the laptops for Mathletics (it's been a long time). We are beginning 2D and 3D shapes.

-played soccer in gym.  Blu got a goal and an assist, Parker got the second goal for his team.

-began discussing insects and their body parts in Science.

What are the main body parts on an insect? hint, sing the song to yourself!

    If the mosquito is sucking your blood, that means it's a girl.
