Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins! Thank you for sending in your pumpkins today we were only missing a couple. An special thank you to Lauren who brought an extra one in and was able to share
with a friend.
Today we completed our Halloween silhouettes. We worked to create a background with warm colors or cools colors. Next we cut out black pieces of paper to create a beautiful and spooky silhouette.
This afternoon (after Star Wars Yoga) we focused on our pumpkins. Students worked in pairs to count the lines on their pumpkin, measure how many blocks high it was, measure the distance around and finally take out the seeds and count them. We all made it as far as counting the seeds, we will complete that task tomorrow.
If you haven't sent your pumpkin in yet please do so first thing tomorrow morning.
Thursday is our field trip to Heritage Park. Please dress extra warm (hats, warm jackets and mittens) as part of the day will be spent outside.
Special Question!
How did you measure around the pumpkin???? Please comment below.
